![]() ![]() Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Game Debate PS4 Pro IsThe PS4 Pro is running the game 30fps and has dips below 30fps its also using Dynamic Resolution I believe and I have no other what graphic settings its using but most likely medium settings. The one thing the PS4 Pro has over the 970 is the VRAM so you wont be able to use antialaising and other vram hungry options PS4 Pro isnt using TAA or SMAA either tho.Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Game Debate 1080P 60Fps OptionI believe PS4 Pro has a 1080p 60fps option for tomb raider and that might be better it really depends on vram usage.
If you played Rise of the tomb raider it will likely be about the same just have to tone down graphics to match what you used in Rise. Overall if you running 1440p and doing 30-40fps if you want PS4 Pro experience just cap games framerate at 30fps no point in wasting money on PS4 Pro version its not going to be a better experience if you set it up on PC to run exactly like Pro right. The PS4 Pro will probably have a somewhat smoother experience depending on the resolution of your TV, but you should set your PC graphics to 1080p. The GTX 970 pushes most current games with ease at 1080 with a mix of High and Medium settings, but youll need to upgrade your CPU and RAM for future games. According to Game-Debate your system can handle High settings 1080p and get 50 FPS, but only Medium settings 1440p to get the same FPS: Replacing the GPU with a 1070 will let you run High settings 1440p at 40 FPS: If you get an upcoming 2060, it should perform closer to a 1070ti: Whether you get a 1070, 1070ti or a 2060, your RAM and CPU will be the limiting factor. Youre going to want 16 GB of RAM for most games going forward and Id recommend upgrading to the latest CPU you can afford. For me, stereoscopic 3d is much more immersive than using a higher resolution, and also one of the strengths of the whole reboot series. Under DX 12, Side by side, 1080x1920, maxed graphical settings except for SMAAT2X and TBAO (default for 3d) on a Panasonic VIera, I got 42 fps, with no dip under 30 fps in the benchmark using an RX480 and FX-8350. Upgrading to a Ryzen 2600X gave me an increase around 2 to 43 fps.:) The game is more gpu bound, escpecially as the same upgrade gave me a 26 fps boost in AC Origins (which game engine of course is considered generally poorly optimized, and especially badly optimized for AMD hardware). Im not sure how Nvidia 3D Vision handles 3d in SotTR, but Im sure there are people on this forum that can give you advice, if you want to go that route, which I recommend.:).
